2001 Heidi's bull elk hunt Oct 20-24th Gila National Forest, NM
    Info:   
            Weapon:     Ruger M77 MkII 7mm Rem Mag
            Load:          IMR4350, CCI Mag Primer, 160gr Swift A Frame(over 3000fps)
                              (this load is over max..so no powder measurements listed)
            Shot:           300 yards quartering away entered near last rib exited behind off side
                                shoulder. (required 4 hour track :-( )
            * Bull will gross around 320-325 points

    2001 Trophy Oryx Hunt White Sands Missile Range, NM January 13,14 (Heidi Hennigh)
            Info:
                        Weapon:        Ruger M77 MKII 7mm Rem Mag
                    Load:              IMR4350, CCI Mag Primer, 160gr Nosler Parition(3000fps)
                    Shot:              265 Yards Broadside Heart/Lung one shot only
                                            (Bullet recovered from opposite side hide, he walked 10ft before dropping)
                    *Trophy:            This BULL Oryx measured 39.5"(right) and 38.5"(left) and 7.5" bases

            Comments: You MUST shoot through the shoulder to reach the vitals of this animal. This animal is TOUGH to bring down and from the results I would highly recommend using the highest quality bullet you can find. If I had to load for this animal again I would consider Trophy Bonded Bear Claws, Barnes X or Swift A Frames for the 7mm Mag with similar weight and velocities.  Obviously the velocity even at 265 yards may have jeopardized the integrity of the 160gr Nosler partition.

      
    2000 Cow Elk Hunt Unit 16D December (Heidi Hennigh)

                    Load:          IMR4350, CCI Mag Primer, 140gr Nosler Partition(3250fps)
                    Shot:           200 Yards Broadside Heart/Lung only one shot from shooting sticks (bullet exited)
                                        This cow never took another step and the bullet left a  devastating wound channel.
